About the Doctors
Here is some information about our doctors’ credentials. We have three doctors:
Dr. Suzanne D. Allman, Dr. Tera Pollock and Dr. Alton McWhorter. Because we respect your time, any of the three doctors may see your child so that you can continue on with your busy day.
Dr. Allman earned her B.S. in Zoology from the University of Texas in 1986. She received her D.D.S. from The University of Texas Dental Branch, Houston in 1990. She received her M.S. and Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1992. In 1997 she obtained her Board Certification in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Allman has been practicing Pediatric Dentistry in Rockwall since 1992. Dr. Allman is married to Phil Mathura and they have 2 sons who attend Rockwall schools.
Dr. Pollock went to college at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She received her D.D.S. from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1993. She completed a general practice residency at Detroit Receiving Hospital in 1994. She practiced general dentistry in Detroit for 2 years before moving to Florida where she practiced in a pediatric dental office in Fort Myers, Florida for five years. Next she moved to Rockwall where she joined our practice in 2005. Dr. Pollock is married to the oral surgeon Dr. Kevin Pollock and they have 3 children who attend Rockwall schools.
Dr. Alton McWhorter earned his B.A. in history and political science from Mississippi College in 1974. He received his D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences in 1979. He received his Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1985 and his M.S. in 1989 from Baylor College of Dentistry. In 1994 Dr.McWhorter obtained his Board Certification in Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. McWhorter has been teaching at Baylor College of Dentistry since 1986. He has been the Graduate Program Director since 2006, and the Chairman of Pediatric Dentistry since 2009. “Dr. Mac” has spent one day a week working in our practice since 1998. Dr. McWhorter is married and he and his wife Sherry live in Dallas.

A dental hygienist is required to have a four year college degree plus certification by the State Board of Dental Examiners.
Certified Dental Assistants

Certified Dental Assistants are required to take courses and pass exams by the State Board of Dental Examiners in radiation safety, nitrous oxide administration, sterilization and infection control, and jurisprudence.
